Why is the bond between mother and child important?
I know breast feeding is important because of the mother's milk is more healthy for the child. However, there is also a lot of talk about how important breast feeding is for the bond between mother and child. Just curious as to why this is important?
Is it so the mother can feel a happy warm fuzzy feeling of being connected?...or is there something more to it.
Mom teaches the infant how to love, how to be loved. That the world is a good place, they are welcomed, that they are valued... It's the basis of how a human interacts with the world, isn't that the whole point?
